GUWAHATI: Candidates in Assam can now apply for regular Teachers' Vacancies on the basis of their TET roll number.
Notably, Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu on Thursday stated that candidates of General Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), who have not yet received the certificate and mark sheet, can apply for Regular Teachers' Vacancies on the basis of their TET roll number.
Taking to micro-blogging site twitter, the Minister shared a notification dated December 22nd, 2021 and said, 'Important notification for the successful candidates of General TET (LP & UP) 2021 desiring to apply for the posts of regular teachers under Directorate of Elementary Education.''
"However, till they receive their certificate and mark sheet issued against their TET qualification, they will be allowed to enter the TET roll number in the field kept for certificate number and to upload the scorecard in place of the mark sheet in the online application module," a para from shared notification read.
This recruitment was announced on September 19, and the Teacher Eligibility Test was held on 31st October. On 15 December the results were declared.
After the TET result was declared under the Education Board, the teacher recruitment registration commenced. Meanwhile, the deadline to apply for Assam teacher recruitment is 31 December.
According to the notification, candidates who have not yet received the TET certificate and mark sheet, such candidates can apply on the basis of their Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) roll number.
