NAGAON: Nowgong College (Autonomous), Nagaon, will host a Youth Parliament on March 12 and 13 under the direction of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. The college has been designated as the nodal institution for organizing this significant event in Nagaon and Hojai districts.

A preparatory meeting was held at the Principal’s Conference Room, chaired by Dr Pulin Ch Borah, Principal (i/c) of Nowgong College (Autonomous). The meeting was attended by Bikash Ch Pradhan, District Youth Officer, Nagaon, and NSS Programme Coordinators from various colleges in both Nagaon and Hojai districts.

Dr Bhuban Ch Chutia, the Organizing Secretary of the Youth Parliament, outlined the event’s rules and regulations. He encouraged all participants to actively contribute to promoting the event and ensuring its success. Dr Chutia also announced that participants are required to upload a one-minute video on the theme, ‘What does Viksit Bharat mean to You?’ and register on the ‘My Bharat Portal’ by March 9.

The Youth Parliament will center on the theme ‘One Nation, One Election: Paving the Way for Viksit Bharat.’ This event offers a unique opportunity for young people to voice their opinions on one of the most pertinent issues facing the nation today.
