Manik Chandra Baruah, a resident of Kaloogaon Amtal Chariali in Sivasagar, passed away on September 23 due to heart failure. He was 71. According to family sources, he had been suffering from heart ailment since the last few months. Baruah was an employee of Tea Research Centre Toklai, Jorhat under Engineering branch and got superannuation in December, 2008. He is survived by his wife, three sons and a host of relatives.
