Manorama Goswami, a resident of Misamari, Halem under Gohpur sub division in Biswanath district and a retired teacher of Swahid Mukunda Kakati High School, Halem, passed away on Thursday at her son’s residence in Bangalore after a protracted illness. She was 72.
Born in Halem Tea Estate, Late Goswami completed her schooling at Halem. After graduation, she joined the Swahid Mukunda Kakati High School as an assistant teacher. She was closely associated with the Misamari Durga Pooja Committee. She leaves behind a son, a daughter, and other relatives.
