Ramkanta Sarma, a resident of Geruwa in Kalaigaon, passed away on April 11, 2026. He collapsed due to a brain stroke at his residence. He was rushed to Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH), where he breathed his last. His last rites were performed on the same day at Geruwa crematorium. He was 75. He is survived by his wife, a son, a daughter-in-law, a grandson; and a granddaughter.
