BONGAIGAON: One person died after drowning in a pond in Bongaigaon on Wednesday. Dipen Rabha (25), a resident of Rabhapara village under Bongaigaon PS of Bongaigaon district, had taken his cattle for grazing at noon. "He and few of his friends went to take bath in a pond near the firing range of Chaprakata where he drowned somehow. Later, SDRF launched a search operation and recovered his body at about 6.30 pm," OC, Bongaigaon PS said.
