Pall of grief after demise of elderly woman Dev Kakoti in Kamargaon

Dev Kakoti, a respected and devout elder from Bordihingia village in Kamargaon, Bokakhat, passed away at 1:30 PM on Saturday due to age-related illness.

BOKAKHAT:  Dev Kakoti, a respected elderly and devout woman from Bordihingia village in the greater Kamargaon area under Bokakhat sub-division, passed away at her residence on Saturday at 1:30 PM due to age-related illness. She was 85 years old.

The news of the demise of Dev Kakoti, who was closely associated with every institution and event in Bordihingia village, spread rapidly, leading many admirers to gather at her residence to pay their last respects. Various organizations and institutions paid floral tributes to her mortal remains, including Bordihingia Bornamghar, four primary branches of the Bordihingia Srimanta Sankardev Sangha, Kamargaon Higher Secondary School, Kamargaon Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Kamargaon College, Bordihingia Lower Primary School, Bordihingia Natya Mandir, and others.

Nearly fifty organizations, well-wishers, and individuals paid tributes to the departed soul. She was survived by her son, Jatin Kakoti, retired Principal of Kamargaon Girls’ Higher Secondary School.
