GAURISAGAR: Amguri Aauniati Hem Chandra Dev Higher Secondary School, previously known as Amguri Boys’ High School, has completed glorious 75 years.
The school is organizing a year-long platinum jubilee celebration and the inaugural function of year-long celebration will be held on January 30 and January 31. Dr Pitambor Deva Goswami, Xatradhikar of Sri Sri Auniati Xatra will delivered a lecture on the occasion and Prafulla Kr Baruah, Robin Borkatoky and Promode Saikia, former principals of the school, will light the flame of the platinum jubilee. Thereafter, Amorjyoti Borthakur, principal of the school, will hoist the school flag while Prodip Hazarika, MLA of Amguri and president of the reception committee will hoist the platinum jubilee flag.
The Managing Director of Numaligarh Refinary Limited (NRL), Golaghat will lay the foundation stone of the school administrative building while the foundation of the library building in memory of former Headmaster Sonaram Chutia will be laid by Dr Minati Chutia, former Principal of Amguri College.
