Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary reopens for public

Guwahati: Assam State Forest and Environment Minister, Parimal Suklabaidya accompanied by Pijush Hazarika and Assam Tourism Development Corporation, Chairman Jayanta Malla Baruah graced the opening ceremony of the sanctuary.

Forest and Environment Minister Parimal Suklabaidya, in his tweet, reported that Pobitora is a huge booster for tourism and they are going to put maximum effort to look into the overall development of the sanctuary.

Pobitora Wildlife sanctuary is situated in Morigaon district near the Brahmaputra river. However, it was closed for over 6 months due to coronavirus pandemic. Park authorities said they have arranged for all COVID-19 safety norms to be followed.
