Power workers stage hunger strike in Demow

A CORRESPONDENT

DEMOW: The Assam State Power Workers' Union Demow branch staged a hunger strike for six hours in the Demow Electrical Sub-Division Office in support of their various demands on Thursday.

Their demands included regularization of theservices of temporary employees at the earliest; instead of the National Pension System (NPS), the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) should be implemented; and vacant posts should be filled up.
