Private institutions asked to waive off 25% tuition fees

HAILAKANDI: The educational authorities have urged all the non government private educational institutions to waive off 25 per cent of monthly tuition fees from May till formal opening of educational institutions.

In an order issued to this effect here on Wednesday, Inspector of Schools, IH Barbhuiya urged all the non government private educational institutions from pre-primary to Class XII to waive off 25 per cent monthly tuition fees from May till the formal and physical opening of institutions.

The order made in pursuance of the Education department's notification dated August 13 last also stated that the educational institutions which have already collected tuition fees meant for the said period would have to adjust the concession in the next instalment of fees.

It also requested the parents and guardian to clear the dues of their wards up to September at the reduced rates to enable the school and college authorities to make payment of salaries to their teaching and non-teaching staff without facing any problem.
