BISWANATH CHARIALI: In a meeting held on Sunday at Prajapati Bibah Bhavan, Madhupur, Bishwanath Chariali, ration cards were distributed among the beneficiaries by the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Services, Biswanath. It may be mentioned here that under the National Food Security Act 2013, a population of 5,07,506 will be covered in Biswanath district from 1,20,196 households. Bhavan Kumar, Sub Inspector, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, conducted the programme while MLA Pramod Borthakur, Deputy Commissioner of Biswanath, Pranab Kumar Sharma, Election Officer Abul Kalam, Sajid Hussain etc were present on the occasion.
