TEZPUR: On March 30, a written examination for Grade III (Non-Technical) posts under the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam, will be conducted across various centers in Sonitpur District. To ensure the peaceful conduct of the examination, the Sonitpur District Administration has issued precautionary directives.
As per the order issued by Lakhminandan Saharia, District Magistrate, (i/c) Sonitpur, under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, the presence of unauthorized individuals is strictly prohibited within a 100-meter radius of the examination centers. Only the following individuals will be allowed in this area: Candidates with a valid admit card duly signed by the competent authority; Examination supervisors, staff, and invigilators; Law enforcement personnel and essential service officials; and any other government officials directly involved in the conduct of the examination.
Additionally, parking and movement of vehicles within 100 meters of the examination centers will be restricted, except for those authorized for official duty. The use of loudspeakers, DJs, public address systems, microphones, or any such sound equipment, whether stationary or on moving vehicles, is strictly prohibited in the vicinity.
Candidates, except for authorized personnel, are also barred from carrying mobile phones, calculators, or any electronic communication devices such as bluetooth gadgets, smartwatches, or earphones inside the examination center. Furthermore, no food stalls or shops will be permitted to operate within a 100-meter radius of the examination center. Unauthorized individuals are strictly prohibited from assisting candidates in locating their designated seats inside the examination hall.
These guidelines must be displayed prominently at the entrance of each examination center. The order will be in effect from 6:00 AM on March 30 and will remain enforceable until the examination process concludes. Any violation of this directive will result in strict legal action under Section 223 of the BNSS.
