TANGLA: In a tragic road mishap, a woman lost her life after the scooty she was riding on collided with a truck (AS01FC3651) at Paniputa area on Mangaldoi-Bhutiachang SH-4 in Udalguri district on Monday evening. According to reports, the deceased, identified as Puja Bhowal(26), was running a cloth store in Tangla town of Udalguri district. Sources added that the truck carrying goods from Ghagra was travelling towards Tangla side and after the incident the driver fled the scene. "The district administration must immediately step in and install speed breakers along with keeping vigil on speed limit in the accident-prone zones," Pradip Chowdhury a local said.
