Saplings of invaluable plants distributed in Lakhimpur district

LAKHIMPUR: In view of protecting nature from pollution, the Lakhimpur district unit of Human Rights International Federation initiated a programme for plantation and distribution of invaluable plants on Wednesday.

Under this programme, members of the organization, led by District Coordinator Mrinal Chamua, distributed almost 200 saplings of various fruit bearing plants in North Lakhimpur town. The programme was conducted at Court Tiniali wherein members Lohit Kumar Das, Tun Hazarika, Swapna Dey, Sabita Cheleng and Dimpi Parik took part. The programme was inaugurated by North Lakhimpur Press Club secretary Karuna Krishna Nath.
