SBI, North Eastern Circle celebrates World Environment Day

GUWAHATI: With sustainability as one of the core values and in line with the commitment for environmental protection, State Bank of India on Friday celebrated World Environment Day. To mark the occasion, State Bank of India, Local Head Office, North Eastern Circle organized a tree plantation drive at Jugashree Nagar, Kahilipara, Guwahati. On the occasion, Sunil Kumar Tandon (Chief General Manager, SBI NE Circle), General Managers Sudhir Kumar Sharma (NW-II), Digmanu Gupta (NW-II), DGM and CDO,Shri.L M Mishra planted saplings at the venue. The programme was supported by local Nagarik Samitee of Jugashree Nagar. Around 200 saplings of bakul, guava, jamun etc. were planted in the locality. The circle CGM urged the small gathering that, it is duty of all the human beings to preserve and protect the environment by planting more trees, stated a press release.
