SIVASAGAR: Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner Megha Nidhi Dahal visited the areas of Palashani, Siripuria, Pasipathar, Konwarpur to take stock of the progress of the Central Government's important flagship scheme Jal Jeevan Mission.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officials of the Public Health Engineering Department to expedite works and ensure effective implementation of the schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission maintaining quality standards so that the facilities are available to the beneficiaries at the earliest.
He also expressed his opinion that through the successful implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission, the long-pending demand for pure drinking water will be fulfilled.
