Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner Lakshmi Priya Reviews health services in district

SIVASAGAR/GAURISAGAR: With a view to solve the problem arising during family planning services in the district, a District Quality Assurance and District Indemnity Sub-committees meeting was held on Saturday at the Sukafa conference hall of the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Dr MS Lakshmi Priya.

Due to non-availability of Boyle’s apparatus at Amguri CHC, the Superintendent of Sivasagar Civil Hospital, Joysagar was requested to provide a Boyle’s apparatus to Amguri CHC.

The meeting also decided that the committee would visit the operation theatre of Doomordolong Tea Estate Hospital for Lap and NSV Camp and would submit detailed report in the district. It was also decided that the committee would develop a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for laparoscopic and NSV operations and circulate in all the institutions. It was decided that the committee would visit and monitor the operation theatre before the Lap sterilization camps.

The meeting also proposed that due to shortage of Lap and NSV surgeons, at least two surgeons would be give training at the State level. During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner suggested the Joint Director of Health Services to give appreciation letters to Atal Amrit Abhiyaan and Ayushman Bharat Units under the district for their good performance.
