MANGALDAI: In a moral boosting initiative for the grassroot level, caring staff for the children inmates in different Specialized Adoption Agencies ( SAA) across Assam, the State Adoption Resource Authority (SARA) under the State Child Protection Society (SCPS ) has recognized their motherly care and service by appreciating them in public and also offered some quality gifts.
As a part of this initiative, SARA has recognized altogether 24 Aayahs (caregivers) and nurses serving in eight different SAAs of the State. Caregivers of SAA, Mangaldai run by NGO Crystal Vision are also among them whose commitments towards the orphan, abandoned and surrendered children below six years of age have been duly recognized in the State level meet for parents and prospective adoptive parents organized by SARA at NEDFI house, Guwahati on July 29.
Assistant Secretary of Crystal Vision Manmohan Deka received the gifts on behalf of the recipients. "All the care givers are equally sincere in taking care of every children in the home and this time two of them have earned awards. It is a very encouraging step from SARA. Today we have handed over the gifts to the staff," Deka said while talking to this correspondent on Saturday evening. He further informed that SAA, Crystal Vision one of the younger children's homes in the State, over the last four years has successfully completed the legal adoption of seven newborn babies while one is in pre-adoption foster care and the process of adoption for two others have also started. Meanwhile Darrang DC Pranab Kumar Sarmah on being informed of this achievement has congratulated all the staff and the management of the children's home.
