State-level Seminar organized on Urdu language at Oasis Academy, Goalpara

GOALPARA: A State-level seminar titled 'Primary Satah Par Urdu Ki Taleem Masail Aur Hal', being sponsored by NCPUL, under Ministry of Human Resources and Development, was organized received by Oasis Trust, Goalpara at Oasis Academy (Junior College) premises.

The day-long programme was presided over by Korban Ali Akanda, president of the Oasis Trust. Prof. ATM Forhad Ali secretary, Oasis Trust, explained the purpose of the seminar. Several eminent academicians, resource persons, teachers and a good number of students attended the seminar.

Acting as the chief guest, Prof. DJ Abedin , distinguished academician and former MLA, recalled in his speech some eminent personalities who aroused his love for Urdu poetry. He stressed introduction of Urdu language at primary level.

On the other hand, retired professor Abu Al Kashem said that Urdu was a very sweet language which had a great contribution in Bollywood songs.

Several other distinguished guests and resource persons, including Mufti Saaduddin Al Quasimi, Mufti Mokbul Quasimi, Mufti Robiul Islam and Noor Bahar spoke on the topic.

Mufti Saaduddin Quasimi termed Urdu to be a unique language that accommodates many other languages and emphasized learning more of the language.

He paid tributes to the Urdu poets who have enriched the language and referred Moulana Abul Kalam Azad, Allama Iqbal ,Galib, AmeerKhusro and linguist Dr. Shahidullah for their contribution towards promotion of Urdu language.
