GAURISAGAR: A life size statue of former Assam Transport Minister late Anjan Dutta was unveiled on Gaurisagar Rajiv Bhawan premises on Sunday.
Late Dutta, who was also an MLA of Amguri LAC, APCC chairman, journalist, and sports organizer, passed away on June 16, 2016. The statue has been established under the aegis of The Anjan Dutta Foundation and was inaugurated amidst a huge gathering.
The statue was formally unveiled by Prafulla Baruah, former principal, Amguri Aauniati Hem Chandra Dev HS School. A good number of prominent persons, meritorious students of greater Amguri LAC lit the earthen lamp before the statue of Anjan Dutta honoring his contribution to the development of Amguri LAC.
