Sushma Swaraj’s demise condoled by BJP and several organization across Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: Along with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), several organization across Lakhimpur district expressed grief at the demise of BJP leader and former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

The Lakhimpur district unit of BJP held down the party’s flag at its district office in North Lakhimpur town as a mark or grief at the death of Sushma Swaraj. On this occasion, the district committee organized a condolence meeting at the office premises and observed one-minute silence to pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul. The committee will organize a shradhanjali programme on Thursday to commemorate her.

The All Assam Unemployed Association (AAUA) also organized a condolence meeting at its office in the Adarsha Bazaar premises of North Lakhimpur town. AAUA State secretary Jiban Rajkhowa termed her death to be a big loss for the nation. Organizing the condolence meeting, the members of the organization observed one-minute silence to pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed condolence to the bereaved family.
