A CORRESPONDENT
LAKHIMPUR: The Teacher’s Unit of Panigaon OPD College of Lakhimpur organized a farewell meeting in honour of Professor Rina Gogoi, the HOD of the Department of Economics. The meeting was chaired by Professor Banti Bhuyan Saikia, the president of the Teacher’s Unit.
Gracing the occasion, Principal of the college Dr. Surash Kumar Dutta appreciated Professor Rina Gogoi by praising her as a dedicated academician who worked dedicatedly for the wellbeing of the students. Several faculties also praised the work and activities of the retired professor. On the other hand, Rina Gogoi threw light on her rich experiences and several anecdotes of her working life. All the faculty members, students and office staff of the college felicitated her with bouquet of flowers, Sarai, gamocha and other mementos.
