TEZPUR: The 7th edition of the four-day Tezpur Film Festival 2022 successfully concluded at Asomiya Club premises. The film Festival was organized by Tezpur Chalachitra Mancha. The film festival was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Sonitpur Deba Kumar Mishra in the presence of renowned director and filmmaker Bobby Sarma Baruah, Sailaja Padmapati, Arun Nath, president and secretary of Tezpur Chalachitra Mancha and others.
It opened with the screening of a nationally acclaimed Arunachali film 'Missing' (The Apparition), directed by renowned filmmaker, Bobby Sarma Baruah and Assamese Film 'Soul of Silence' directed by young film maker Dhanjit Das. While inaugurating the occasion, Deputy commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra said that such festivals provide great opportunity for the new generation of movie lovers from the region and the region reflects its philosophies and realities. He also said that it's time for our youth to join Assamese Film Industry with new concept and creation. The second day screened two films, Manipuri Film 'Nangna Kappa' directed by Makhonmani Mongsaba and Assamese Film 'Kaaneen' directed by Manjul Baruah. The festival concluded with the screening of the nationally acclaimed film "Sijou" (Bodo language) directed by Vishal Chaliha and Assamese film "Khyonachar" directed by Saurav Baishya.
