Tezpur University directs students to vacate hostels by April 23

TEZPUR: The Tezpur University has directed students to vacate hostels by April 23 in view of the current increasing number of COVID-19 positive cases inside the varsity campus.

The varsity authorities, however, have exempted the final year post-graduate and undergraduate students and Ph.D. research scholars.

Talking to the media, Dean, Students Welfare of Tezpur University, Dhanapati Deka said that all PG/UG students except final year and Ph. D students of the University shall have to leave the campus before 23.04.2021. They shall vacate their occupied rooms with bag and baggage. Deka also added that the final year PG/UG students can stay inside the campus till April 29 by following all COVID-19 protocol as notified earlier. They have to complete their research/laboratory works by that time and shall vacate their occupied rooms with bag and baggage by April 30.
