Three students participate in All India Science Exhibition

Rangia: Three students of SERS English School, Rangia - Tanuj Samaddar of Class VII, Niharjyoti Nath of Class I X and Samarjyoti Bhagawati of Class X – have gone to Kolkata to participate in the All India Science Exhibition. Naba Deka and Kuldeep Kalita accompanied them as guide teachers.

The five-day exhibition started on Tuesday at Birla Industrial and Technological Museum, Kolkata, the first Science Museum of India. Tanuj Samaddar and Niharjyoti Nath will exhibit a ‘Multipurpose Home Utility Machine’’ made of waste materials and Samarjyoti will exhibit a model on ‘Intelligent system for safe driving’ in the science exhibition.

The science model of Tanuj Samaddar and Niharjyoti was awarded first prize and Samarjyoti’s model won the fifth prize at the All Assam Science and Industrial Fair held at the Regional Science Centre, Khanapara in November. They will return on January 14.
