BISWANATH CHARIALI: Acting on a tip-off, a woman was successfully arrested by police at Dhopabar village under Ghahigaon police outpost in Gohpur subdivision in Biswanath district in collaboration with VDP personnel on Friday night. She is a resident of Bedeti under the Behali Police Station. Police claimed that she was a notorious criminal involved in theft. She had reportedly fled from the house of one Navjyoti Payeng with gold jewellery of about Rs 4 lakh.
