Tinsukia Children's home inmate shines in HSLC exam

TINSUKIA: The inmates of Keshav Behety Surjudaya Children Home near Makum in Tinsukia district have reason to rejoice following declaration of the HSLC exam, 2020 result as one of the inmates, Geetanjali Tasa, an abandoned child who grew up in the children's home, brought laurel by securing 72 per cent with letter marks in three subjects. The elated director of the children's home, Akhil Changra Baruah, under whose guidance she achieved success, said that Geetanjali appeared for the examination from Kasturba Gandhi Residential School where she was admitted in Class IX. Baruah thanked Jayanti Deka Moran, the warden, besides all teachers of the school who took utmost care of Geetanjali. Meanwhile, Bandana Borah, Principal of Sarbajanin HS Valika Vidyalaya, announced that she would bear all expenses of Geetanjali for the next two years.
