DHUBRI: Two persons involved in brutal killing of Imam Anwar Hussain, 25 of Charuabakhra SAR under Chapor police station of Dhubri district, were arrested on Friday. Imam Anwar Hussain was brutally killed by two persons identified as Nabarul Khandakar who hails from Bijni of Bongaigaon district and Julius Hasda from Bilasipara area. To find out why the two brutally sliced the Imam's neck, police is questioning them inside the police station.
Deep resentment prevailed among the villagers of Charuabakhra, who condemned the killing and demanded arrest of the main culprits behind the killing as the duo arrested by police were paid killers. It may be recalled that a businessman, Baser Ali was shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Bilasipara town of Dhubri district on the night of May 24. These two killings in recent time jolted the people of Bilasipara sub division of Dhubri district and there prevailed a deep sense of insecurity.
