Two train passengers detected COVID positive at Jagiroad station

JAGIROAD: Two train passengers who had arrived here from Kerala last night were found to be COVID-positive during routine COVID test by personnel of the Health Department.

The two passengers — Rakibur and Abdulla — along with other 67 deboarded at Jagiroad Rail Station. Both were on their way to Lahorighat and Moirabari respectively in the district of Morigaon. Later, the department shifted both the passengers to a quarantine home.

Meanwhile following this development, tension prevails at Jagiroad. However, despite the high rise of COVID-positive cases across the State, many people hardly follow the anti-COVID protocols to prevent spike of the pandemic.
