Udalguri DC Prakash Ranjan Gharphalia calls meet for quarantining returnees in own villages

UDALGURI: In a meeting held under the chairmanship of Prakash Ranjan Gharphalia, DC Udalguri, it was appealed that the stranded people from outside the State need to be quarantined in their own respective villages. All citizens are requested to act responsibly to keep the new comers in every village in quarantine. Ripul Das, SP Udalguri, has suggested to form a village-level committee to ensure it. The district hospitals and institutional quarantine centers are incapable to keep a huge portion of people in quarantine. The meeting was also attended by PHE Minister Rihon Daimari, Panery MLA Kamali Basumatari, Kalaigaon MLA, Maheswar Boro, Majbat MLA Charan Boro, representatives of religious organizations and leaders of students organizations.
