Guwahati: A day after ULFA-I (Independent) released a sensational video of an alleged Assam Policy spy in their camp, the banned outfit also released names of another 11 youths who they suspect to be spies of Assam Police in their camp.

According to the list, some of the alleged spies are namely Dhunumani Saikia of Jorhat (ULFA-I claims he is from the Army), Kalyan Chakraborty of Barpeta (ULFA-I claims he is from Assam Police), Bitupan Das of Guwahati, Tirtha Das of Mangoldoi, Manushya Kalita of Guwahati's Panjabari, Kishore Sharma and Dhanjit Deka of Kamrup, Nitupam Deka of Goreswar, Ritupam Sharma of Kamrup's Borgaon, Sanjay Kumar Sharma of Guwahati's Chandmari and Bikash Rajbongshi of Dhubri.

The militant outfit released the list a day after it released a video of a youth who they claimed to be a secret agent of Assam Police.

The agent identified as Sanjeev Sarma hails from Muktapur in Baihata Chariali, Kamrup, and has been detained at ULFA (I) camp in Myanmar.

On Tuesday, ULFA-I had issued a press statement where it stated that Sanjeev Sarma, who recently joined the ranks of the banned militant outfit, happens to be a spy of the Assam police.

The statement further went on to say that the Indian Army and the Assam police sent him to infiltrate the insurgent group as an undercover agent and gather crucial intelligence.

In a video message, Sanjeev informed that Kamrup SP Partha Sarathi Mahanta and army official Dhunumoni Saikia provided him training and thereafter sent him to ULFA.

He also revealed that he was instructed to gather crucial insights such as the whereabouts of the camp and after job, he would be rewarded with a hefty sum of Rs.1 crore by the SP and the army officials for gathering the information.

However, Joint Commissioner of Police, Guwahati, Partha Sarathi Mahanta has categorically denied sending a ' spy' to the United Liberation Front of Assam -Independent (ULFA-I) camp.

"I don't know why he took my name. In our profession we meet many people and we have to work with many people but it is not possible for us to remember everyone,'' he said while speaking to media persons on Tuesday.
