SILCHAR: 5th August 2020 will be a tryst with destiny of India. It is going to be historic and memorable day for the followers and devotees ofLord Ram who after being in exile for years will have his illustrious temple at Ayodhya whose foundation will be laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event to be telecast by regional, national and international media will be watched by millions of people at home and abroad. On this day at 11.30am of auspicious moment, Hindu matths and mandirs around the country and across the continents will offer prayers and floral dedication to Lord Ram. Arrangements may also be made to show the religious rites and functions to be performed in presence of the Prime Minister on big screen for the inmates of matths and all those living in neighbourhood to watch.
On the day in the evening, temples, ashrams, individual homes, localities and religious places, candles or diyas are to be lighted. On July 24 last, holy waters of rivers of Barak Valley, Tripura, Mizoram and Manipur have been sent to Ayodhya. On the holiest of holy day, prayers are to be held to Lord Ram for the welfare of mankind and for the end of COVID-19. All this information was shared today at Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram by Swapan Shuklabaidya, secretary VHP, South Assam unit. At this holy congregation were present Swami Vijyananda Maharaj, Shankar Math, Shiki Maharaj, Gauriya Math, Swami Mrinmoyanandji Maharaj, Bharat Seva Ashram among others.
