Video journalist killed in accident at Biswanath Chariali

In the first incident, one Narayan Sapkota (55), a dairy owner by profession, was killed and several others were injured after a speeding Bolero vehicle hit a two-wheeler at Bou Bazar area in the Biswanath Chariali town.

BISWANATH CHARIALI: A video journalist and another person lost their lives in two separate road accidents at Biswanath Chariali on Saturday night.

In the first incident, one Narayan Sapkota (55), a dairy owner by profession, was killed and several others were injured after a speeding Bolero vehicle hit a two-wheeler at Bou Bazar area in the Biswanath Chariali town. The motorcyclist was reportedly killed on the spot while several others were seriously injured.

In another accident that followed the first one, Nayan Nirban Hazarika (25), who was a video journalist of a private satellite channel, died in the accident while he was on his way to home after collecting news of the accident that had taken place at Bou Bazar. Hazarika was seriously injured when he rammed into a tree lying on the road near the Forest Office, here. He was rushed to Tezpur Medical College and Hospital for better treatment but he succumbed to his injuries. The untimely death of Nirban Nayan Hazarika was mourned by Bishwanath Chariali Press Club and APCU.
