Wild jumbos wreak havoc in Saragua Adarsha Kalita Gaon near Demow

DEMOW: A herd of wild elephants has been creating panic in Saragua Adarsha Kalita Gaon near Demow of Sivasagar for the last few days. According to sources, a herd of wild elephants came out from the Panidehing Bird Sanctuary and destroyed a room of Sarugua High Medium School where the mid-day meal rice was kept and ate the rice. The herd also destroyed agricultural lands. Forest Department officials took stock of the situation on Thursday.
