In a push for more inclusive electoral participation, 80 polling stations in Goalpara district will be entirely managed by women officials during the Assam Legislative Assembly Election 2026.
The 80 all-women stations represent a dedicated allocation out of the district's total of 1,010 polling stations.
For this purpose, 96 presiding officers, along with an equal number of first polling officers, second polling officers, and third polling officers, have been appointed. The Goalpara district administration conducted the final phase of training for these women polling officials on Thursday to ensure the smooth and efficient conduct of voting.
