Yaba tablets worth Rs 2 crore seized by Cachar police

SILCHAR: In a major haul, Cachar police on Tuesday seized a huge quantity of Yaba tablets from Dholai in Cachar-Mizoram border. Based on an information, police chased a Sumo car coming from Mizoram and finally intercepted the vehicle at Dholai. Cachar SP Nomal Mahato informed the media that six persons including a woman and a child were nabbed from the vehicle. Huge quantity of Yaba tablets were seized. Till evening, 4 lakh tablets were counted. Mahato said, international market value of the contraband narcotic substance would not be less than Rs 200 crore. Those who had been arrested were from Churachandpur of Manipur. They were coming from Mizoram side.
