IMPHAL: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh reviewed the prevailing security situation in the state during a meeting with senior Assam Rifles officials at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Babupara on Sunday.
The Chief Minister met Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) Major General Inderjit Singh Bhinder and Deputy Inspector General, 22 Sector Assam Rifles, Brigadier Anshuman Tripathi.
The discussions covered counter-insurgency operations, operational preparedness and border management. The meeting also reviewed civic action initiatives undertaken by the Assam Rifles to support communities and contribute to efforts to restore normalcy in Manipur. Khemchand Singh appreciated the Assam Rifles for its continued commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the state and supporting the restoration of normalcy.
The meeting also focused on strengthening coordination between the state government and security forces on security and related operational matters. (Agencies)
