Manipur: Ringui’s Got Talent Season 10 Concludes in Ukhrul

The grand finale of Ringui’s Got Talent Season 10 wrapped up in Ukhrul, showcasing incredible talent and drawing a large audience.

Ukhrul: The much-anticipated grand finale of Ringui’s Got Talent Season 10 (RGT S10) was a spectacular event that drew a massive crowd to Ringui village, solidifying its status as a hub of artistic expression and talent. The milestone edition of Manipur’s biggest talent competition celebrated a decade of discovering and nurturing hidden gems across the state.

The event saw an extraordinary display of talent, with Zanmei Makang from Ringui village emerging as the winner, while Kennies Khuraijam from Imphal and Machunreiliu Phaomei from Tamenglong district secured the first and second runner-up positions, respectively. As a prestigious opportunity, one of these finalists will represent at Rubaru India 2025, along with career-enhancing exposure and performance opportunities at various platforms.

A distinguished panel of judges presided over the competition, including Strela Luwang, Miss Femina 2023 2nd Runner-up; Songashim Rungsung, Rubaru Mr. India and Mr. Friendship International 2022 2nd Runner-up; James Riamei, lead singer of GMP band; and Soreichan Nakhedei, Director of Echoes School of Music.

The evening was further elevated by stellar performances from former RGT winners. Kathorthing Khapai Shimrah, winner of RGT S9, enthralled the audience with his melodic performance, while Ramchanphi Zingkhai, winner of RGT S8, captivated hearts with her soulful voice. The Zaishin Dance Studio, RGT S9’s second runner-up, also delivered an electrifying performance.

Renowned singer MOC Shimray and Sochipem Kasomwung, President of the Tangkhul Music Forum, added to the night’s charm with their mesmerizing performances. Ringui village, often dubbed the “Bollywood of Ukhrul,” has long been at the forefront of tribal film and music production. With a legacy of over 35 years in filmmaking and audio-visual production, the village has served as a launching pad for countless artists across Manipur and beyond.

The RGT platform has not only provided young artistes with a stage to showcase their talents but has also played a pivotal role in promoting a healthy lifestyle, discouraging substance abuse, and fostering peace and harmony throughout the region, stated a press release.
