Scindia chairs review meeting on developmental initiatives in Manipur with Governor Bhalla

Union DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia led a key review meeting with Manipur Governor, top officials from DoNER Ministry, and the Manipur Government to assess regional development progress.

NEW DELHI: Union Minister of Communications and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, chaired the second high-level review meeting with Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, senior officials from the Ministry of DoNER and the Manipur State Government.

The meeting reviewed progress across key development sectors and identified strategic priorities going forward. Key focus areas included the development of a Polo Tourism Circuit and Loktak Lake, promotion of palm oil cultivation, and greater support for weaving communities. The Minister also took stock of investment opportunities emerging from the Rising Northeast Investors Summit, reiterating the Centre's commitment to ensuring their effective implementation and grounding of proposals.

Saturation-based development of Vibrant Villages, aimed at delivering last-mile access to infrastructure and services in remote and border regions was another key focus of the discussion.

The Minister emphasized that with sustained collaboration between the Centre and State, Manipur is poised for transformative growth driven by purpose, partnerships and progress. (PIB)
