SHILLONG: A book titled Ka Par Kordor Jingtip-I authored by Phrikshon Kharshiïing was released by the Myntri of Hima Mawphlang, Hodling Kharshiïing, at a meeting of the Kharshïiing clan held in the premises of the Dorbar Shnong Nongrum Mawphlang on Saturday.
This is the 11 book the author has released; and it tells about the history of the Khasi tribe as per the information collected by him during the past many years.
With the release of this book and also of other books by various Khasi writers, there is a renewed demand to include the Khasi language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution of India.
