SHILLONG: The Hynñiewtrep Integrated Territorial Organization (HITO) Ribhoi district has requested the Deputy Commissioner of Ri-Bhoi district to reopen the weekly and daily markets.
"We request your good office to kindly permit the weekly and daily markets to reopen, namely Umsning, Mawhati, Umroi, Byrnihat, Nongpoh and Umden, so as to enable the farmers to sell their agricultural products and earn their livelihood," HITO president Ribhoi District Kenny Nongrum said.
