SHILLONG: Members of the Khasi Students' Union (KSU) has painted the walls of many schools, offices, business establishments with graffiti across the entire capital city and other parts of the State.

The graffiti expressed their displeasure on the 'inability' of the Union Home Ministry to implement ILP (Inner Line Permit).

The students' body slammed Union Home Minister Amit Shah for not giving any concrete assurance on the demand for implementation of ILP during his two-day visit to the State on July 24 and 25.

Some of the graffiti read — 'No ILP, No Rest', 'We are demanding ILP and not to break away from India'.

The KSU members also painted graffiti on the wall of the Assam House stating – 'Dang Kyntur ka Assam nabar. Dang Kyntur ki shipai napoh: KSU', which translates to, 'Assam is encroaching from outside, the army is encroaching from the inside'.
