SHILLONG: A renowned businessman in the capital city, Bah Samborlang Diengdoh on Monday announced his candidature to contest the upcoming MLA election slated for the year 2023.
Diengdoh is contemplating to contest the 2023 election from Pynthorumkhrah constituency. "Contesting the election is about serving the people of the State. However, the compitition will be stiff as other candidates will include sitting BJP MLA AL Hek and former Congress MLA from Mawsynram u Bah PN Syiem," he said while speaking to reporters on Monday.
He said the decision was taken with an objective to safeguard the interests of the people.
