SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) has announced a 25-member probables list for the state’s senior women’s team ahead of the upcoming domestic cricket season. Among the standout names is Luiza Tamang, a consistent top-order batter and a key figure in Meghalaya's recent campaigns.
Tamang’s inclusion comes as no surprise, given her solid performances and leadership skills over the past few seasons. She is expected to play a pivotal role once again as the team prepares for national-level competitions. Joining her in the probables list are reliable middle-order batter Daiaka E Warjri and all-rounder Neha Hajong, both of whom have been mainstays in the side. Warjri is known for her composure and ability to anchor innings, while Hajong adds depth with both bat and ball.
The final squad will be selected based on performances in preparatory camps and practice matches scheduled in the coming weeks. The MCA is aiming to strengthen the team’s performance and competitiveness in the domestic circuit.
