Meghalaya: Shillong To Host Act East Business Show From March 25-27

Shillong will host the 7th Act East Business Show from March 25-27, 2025, attracting 12 countries to boost investment and trade.

SHILLONG: Meghalaya's picturesque hill station Shillong is going to host the 7th Act East Business Show, which will be held from March 25 to 27, 2025. The event is being organized by the state government in association with the Indian Chamber of Commerce and will be held at the State Convention Centre and is likely to draw considerable international interest.

This flagship event will see participation from 12 countries, including the Philippines, Germany, Indonesia, Cambodia, UAE, Japan, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal. Diplomats and business groups from each of these countries have already issued confirmations of their attendance, which speaks volumes about the international significance of the event.

Major areas such as border trade, information technology and tourism will be the priority of discussion. Addresses by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, top Indian government officials, and top diplomats will mark the opening session on March 25. The session will make Meghalaya a top investment hub by presenting feasible investment opportunities and business collaborations.

The event will have three key sessions: "Empowering Growth Through Technology & Innovation in Meghalaya," "Making North East India an Export Hub for Agriculture, Livestock, Food Processing, and Manufacturing," and "North East India Travel, Tourism & Hospitality." The Valedictory Session, "Meghalaya – Future Roadmap," will present strategies for sustainable economic development and regional collaboration.

During the three days, the event will organize B2B and B2G meetings, as well as matchmaking sessions, to the advantage of businesses, exporters, startups, and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) of Meghalaya.
