Meghalaya: Tura Government Medical College 75% Complete, Says Health Minister

Meghalaya Health Minister Dr. M Ampareen Lyngdoh informed the Assembly that the status of Tura Government Medical College is 75%.

Shillong: Meghalaya Health Minister Dr. M Ampareen Lyngdoh informed the Assembly that the status of Tura Government Medical College is 75%.

Responding to a query from Leader of the Opposition Dr. Mukul Sangma regarding the total area of the parcel of land donated by the clan for the project, Lyngdoh stated, the total area of land donated by the clan for the project is 99.00 acres.

Providing financial details, the Health Minister told the House, the total amount sanctioned by the Government of India (GoI) for the project till date is Rs 170.10 crore. She further informed that the total amount of money released to the PMC till date is Rs 185.65 crore, while the total amount of money released to the contractor for the PMC till date is Rs 178.66 crore.
