Meghalaya wins E-Governance award at KIIT, Bhubaneshwar

SHILLONG: The Department of Planning, Government of Meghalaya and National Informatics Centre, Meghalaya, have been conferred with a CSI SIG e-Governance award 2018-2019 during the 53rd Annual Convention of Computer Society of India, at KIIT, Bhubaneshwar recently. The title of the award is “Award of Recognition” which was given for the “MeghEA Online Questionnaire”, under the category of Initiatives in Enterprise Architecture Projects – State.

The award was handed over by Tusar Kanti Behera, Minister for E&IT (Odisha) in the presence of Tarun Vijay, Rajya Sabha member to Candida Shadap, Technical Director NIC, Meghalaya and Kernold Basaiawmoit, Senior Systems Analyst, NIC Meghalaya. The duo received the award on behalf of the Department of Planning Government of Meghalaya and National Informatics Centre, Meghalaya at KiiT, Bhubaneswar on January 17. MeghEAOnline Questionnaire is a one-of-a-kind tool for collecting information across the various State Government departments, for the purpose of preparing a Statewide Enterprise Architecture as per IndEA framework and also as per the Digital Service Standards (DSS).

This tool can be readily used by any State Government for Enterprise Architecture Documentation. MeghEA Online Questionnaire intends to streamline, optimize, and facilitate collaborative collection of information in a central repository, which is a crucial initial step towards the development of Statewide Enterprise Architecture.
