SHILLONG: The Meghalaya SSA Schools Association's (MSSASA) central body today stated that the funds released by the government for payment of salary for another 2 months August and September, 2021 will be a bit of relief to SSA teachers in the state but this salary will not solve the SSA teacher's problems and difficulties.

"As far as salary matter is concerned our stand is very clear we demand release of all our pending dues i.e. till December, 2021," MSSASA president Aristotle C Rymbai said here on Friday.

Further he said that the "Non-Cooperation Movement" to all the programmes and activities of the State Government and the "letter campaign" to Chief Minister and Education Minister will be going as announced earlier.

"We once again request the state government to release the additional funds amounting Rs.104 Crores lying with it for the last three years which is a funds for financial support for payment of SSA teachers salary as per Capping norms of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, a part of 10 per cent state share so that the pending salary of the remaining months could be clear," he said.
