AIZAWL: Assam Rifles, in its ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and community well-being, conducted a lecture on hygiene and sanitation at Laki village, Siaha district, Mizoram, on February 24, 2025. The initiative aimed to educate the local population on the importance of personal hygiene, proper sanitation practices, and their impact on overall health. A total of 23 locals attended the awareness session.
The lecture covered essential topics such as handwashing and personal cleanliness, waste disposal management, the importance of clean drinking water, and measures to prevent waterborne and communicable diseases. Special emphasis was placed on maintaining household and community cleanliness to ensure a healthier living environment.
The session witnessed active participation from villagers, who engaged in discussions on improving hygiene and sanitation standards in their daily lives, stated a press release.
